Local blood doors do a good deed

Although many regular blood donors are down with the flu, 67 people attended the monthly blood donor clinic hosted by the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) on Thursday.

Pearl Stanley donated her 15th pint of blood last week.

Between 11am and 6pm, 48 blood buddies donated a lifesaving unit of blood and five people were welcomed as first time blood donors.

Sikhumbuzo Dlamini donates his third pint of blood to SANBS.

19 referrals were made at the blood donor clinic.

Shane Janse van Vuuren had his iron levels checked ahead of his first blood donation.
