Mums and daughters bond at Harvestime Tabernacle in Estcourt

Sister Premy Frank spoke on the true beauty of a woman when she finds peace in knowing God and how she would begin to offer grace to others

A week ahead of Mother’s Day on May 4, Harvestime Tabernacle Church invited mothers and daughters to bond and share fellowship. The programme began with praise and worship and was followed by interesting talks on every day issues that mother’s face.

One of the talks gave handy garden tips, as a way for women to eat healthy, acquire a hobby and even as a way of relaxing. The afternoon aimed to remind mothers that life experiences are merely lessons, and that all women are precious and beautiful in the eyes of Christ.

Social worker, Angel addressed the touchy subject of women and child abuse.

She explained the various types of abuse and went on to say: “Mothers would die for our children if we have to, and will do anything to protect them with the overflowing kind of love we have.”

She informed those present that if they notice child neglect or abuse of any kind, they could report it anonymously to the local Department of Social Development office.

The mothers expressed their heart ache after hearing of the recent rape not far from the church and decided to unite in prayer; saying that one mother’s child is as good as their own.

On a much lighter note, Adri Alborough urged the women to recycle and create masterpieces from trash.
