Estcourt youth reconnect with God on June 16

Guest speakers, Mr Sibusiso, Brother Bernard and Sister Nomcebo Bridget reminded the youth of today to focus on the season and understanding of the kingdom of God

The youth of Restoration of God’s Glory Church (ROGGC) spent Youth Day being restored back to God and rediscovering their purpose in life.

Youth enjoy praise and worship session as they commemorate Youth Day.

Guest speakers, Mr Sibusiso, Brother Bernard and Sister Nomcebo Bridget reminded the youth of today to focus on the season and understanding of the kingdom of God, which is within. Readings were taken from Proverbs 1:7 and Luke 15: 11- 32.

These are some of the main points highlighted on June 16:

• Development and need – this sense of security and trust usually comes from the family and provides a foundation for youth to trust God. Spiritual growth occurs in all development stages and in all aspects of life.

• Participate, make time to read, support each other, and encourage one another, ‘vuleka komunye nomunye’.

• Commit yourselves to the things of God, building a generation that is fearfully and wonderfully made.

The youth of ROGGC would like to thank everyone who attended and graced them with their presence as they celebrated June 16. A special thank you went to Ms Khanyi who always encourages the youth to love God as they would love themselves, the youth committee and elders of the church.
