‘Soup’er social evening to be served at Shepstone Place

There’s nothing quite like a bowl of hot soup on a cold winter’s night. Shepstone Place Old Aged Home will serve up their annual Soup Evening at the end of the month.

Volunteers and committee members will each be cooking up a storm to share with the public as part of a fundraising initiative.

You don’t want to miss out on a social evening where locals can get together and enjoy a glass of wine or juice, followed by a delicious array of nutritious and tasty soups as well as homemade breads and jams.

On top of the most popular soups like butternut and the pea and ham, there were a few interesting varieties over the years. Help boost the home’s finances, show your support.

The Soup Evening will be held on June 30 at the Shepstone Place starting at 6pm for 6.30pm. Cost of the evening will be a minimum donation of R50 per person. Wine and juice will be available at R10 per glass.
