Estcourt Knitting Club welcomes wool donations

Recently the group of 15 women proudly handed over boxes filled with blankets, mittens, scarves, bed socks and jerseys to benefit 103 children at the Midlands Orphanage and Care Centre in Colenso

Winter is here and for many who cannot reach out to turn on the heaters, the Estcourt Knitting Club saw an opportunity to gift warmth by knitting winter essentials like blankets and jerseys.

You can help add value to this worthy cause with wool donations. Recently the group of 15 women proudly handed over boxes filled with blankets, mittens, scarves, bed socks and jerseys to benefit 103 children at the Midlands Orphanage and Care Centre in Colenso.

Not only do the members meet weekly to keep busy and socialise, it brings them joy that their talents and beloved hobby can help give back to the community.

 

Most of the wool used is funded by the women or received via generous donations, but more donations are most welcome and would be greatly appreciated. The community is encouraged to support this worthy cause.
