PREVIEW: Nofta management and public clash at organisation’s AGM

The announcement of a Board of Trustees by Nofta management, did not go down well with some members of the public.

Members of public and Nofta management clashed at its AGM last week.

During a lengthy meeting, which included the tabling of a new constitution, contention reigned over the appointment of trustees.

Chairman, Rajesh Ramdaw said the Board of Trustees was elected two years earlier.

However, certain residents questioned their validity and what criteria were used in the election process.

Ramdaw countered that complaints were made by ‘disgruntled members’, and claimed vendettas were being pursued against him.

Other members of the Nofta executive pleaded for calm and for approval of the new constitution.
