Do a good deed and donate your blood on Mandela Day

Are you looking to do a good deed? Then look no further than the ‘Bleed for Mandela Day’ on July 18.

“The situation is critical. We are therefore appealing to residents of KwaZulu-Natal – active donors, potential donors and lapsed donors – to help bolster the regional blood stock,” says SANBS regional marketing manager Sifiso Khoza.

If you donate blood at the ‘Big Bleed’, you will receive a limited edition gift. Remember that your blood saves lives!

Ladysmith resident Bongani Ntshingila donated his 17th pint of blood at the Ladysmith Blood Donor Clinic on Tuesday afternoon.

He told the Ladysmith Gazette that he is determined to save as many lives as he can with his blood.
