PHOTOS: A fitting tribute dedicated to fathers at Nofta

Chairperson of Nofta, Rajesh Ramdaw reported that Nofta currently had more than 77 men in its organisation.

The Newcastle Organisation For The Aged (Nofta) honoured fathers in a lavish Father’s Day celebration at the Nofta Hall on June 27.

Chairperson of Nofta, Rajesh Ramdaw reported that Nofta currently had more than 77 men in its organisation.

“Today is a day dedicated to fathers. We want to wish all fathers a happy Father’s Day,” he said.

Morris Gajoo, also a member of Nofta delivered the keynote address which honoured all dads present.

“Father’s Day celebrated its 109th anniversary this year.”

He emphasised that the roles of fathers were to provide for their families. “Fathers are the reliable men in our lives and we salute you.”

Gajoo concluded his address with a heartfelt poem to his late father.

“We also thank all our sponsors and donors, without whom the events would not have been a success,” concluded Ramdaw.
