Watch: Drakensberg Boys’ Choir are champions at World Choir Games in Scenic Pop category
The Drakensberg Boys' Choir School were crowned as the champions with a score of 95.50%
For the first time in its 51 years of existence, the Drakensberg Boys’ Choir School participated in the World Choir Games.
This year, the World Choir Games were hosted in South Africa, in Tshwane.
Under the guidance of their artistic director, Bernard Kruger, the Drakensberg Boys’ Choir School participated in two categories.
Firstly, Scenic Pop, which is one of the most popular categories with choirs and the audience alike. The Drakensberg Boys’ Choir School were crowned as the champions with a score of 95.50%.
In the category Children’s Choirs, they received a gold medal and a score of 89.38%.
The Drakensberg Boys’ Choir School would like to take this opportunity to thank their boys, staff and supporters.
This is the 10th edition of the prestigious World Choir Games.
