DHS Dance Champions

They arrived early on Friday morning and excitement ran high as they changed into their costumes and got their makeup done.

On Friday, July 13, three DHS learners participated in the ADPA Rising Star Dance Competition in Pretoria. They arrived early on Friday morning and excitement ran high as they changed into their costumes and got their makeup done. It was a wonderful experience to perform their well-rehearsed dances on stage in front of the judges and a large enthusiastic audience. It was a brilliant day for them with Megan Peddie receiving first place in her age group for her lyrical, ballet and contemporary solos and Joel McMillan coming first in his hip-hop and open solos. Many thanks go out to their dance teachers Marina De Beer and Kerryn Shapiro for helping them choreograph their amazing dances. The learners learnt a lot and will carry on developing their talents and Dundee High is excited to see what the future holds for these wonderful dancers.
