School celebrates Mandela Day in fine style

The learners gathered in their assembly area, where a talk was given to them about Mandela

Limit Hill Combined School celebrated Mandela Day in fine style, with all the learners taking part in the festivities.

The learners gathered in their assembly area, where a talk was given to them about Nelson Mandela and the role he played during the freedom struggle.

The learners had extravagant posters, with cut-outs of Madiba pasted on them from a recent newspaper article.

The Soul Buddyz team also spoke to the children about the former president and international icon, making sure that their peers knew everything they needed to know about “the father of our nation”.

Limit Hill Combined School was fortunate to get sandwiches from Sasko, which were handed out to all the children by the learners who are part of the Soul Buddyz team.

Each and every learner enjoyed the day to the fullest and gained much knowledge about Nelson Mandela.
