#MandelaDay: Locals put in the hard work

Blankets, sanitary towels and cabbages were distributed in Forderville and Colita

Councillor Edith Lite and her team from the MK Ghandi branch partnered with Mr Mohammed from HyperZone, Ukhahlamba Community Radio Station, Councillor B Mngadi and Councillor B Mlotshwa on Mandela Day.

Mr Mohammed from HyperZone joined Councillor Edith Lite to hand out blankets to families in Forderville.

The day was filled with activity.

An elderly Colita resident received a blanket on Mandela Day.

Blankets, sanitary towels and cabbages were distributed in Forderville and Colita.

Later that day, councillors got hands-on with painting a house in Colita, after which they made their way to the Shepstone Place Home for the Aged where they distributed marshmallows to the elderly.

Councillor Mngadi along with Councillor Lite distributed sweet treats at Shepstone Place.
