Grade 11 learner explores the benefits of cannabis oil

Bongumusa holds the well-being of the community close to his heart and one of the major challenges his community faces is the high cost of western medicine

Grade 11 Windsor High learner Bongumusa Mngomezulu was inspired to base his science expo project on the benefits of cannabis oil. He thoroughly researched the plant and was fascinated with the many success stories he stumbled upon during his investigation.

Bongumusa holds the well-being of his community very close to his heart and one of the major challenges that his community faces is the high cost of western medicine. His goal was to bring affordable treatment to his community for common ailments such as bronchitis, arthritis and muscular pain.

Bongumusa manufactured some of the cannabis oil on his own for the expo.

The next step would be to market his product and achieve his long-term goal of assisting the community.

Bongumusa thanked Windsor High principal Mr NR Rampath, his educator Miss L Boodhoo and his mentor Mr RG Reddy for all the support and assistance they offered him during his investigation.
