Ladysmith pupils travel to Germany on exchange programme

The 14-day programme was full to the brim with activities

Nine very excited learners and two teachers from Ladysmith High School departed from OR Tambo Airport to participate in an exchange programme in Landshut, Germany, on July 8.

All the learners were warmly welcomed by their host parents, where they had the privilege of immersing themselves in German culture.

This 14-day exchange programme was full to the brim with activities and included visits to two castles, touring the city of Passau and sitting on a 300m tower in Munchen.

In German spirit, the saying is true that “das Glück hilft dem Kühnen”, meaning “Those who act boldly or courageously are most likely to succeed”.

These learners most certainly succeeded in creeping into the hearts of their hosts and they thoroughly enjoyed a highly successful German tour.
