ML Sultan receives gold at Science Expo

The judges were impressed by the learner presentations and research and awarded them with prizes

Learners from grades four to seven were given an opportunity to attend the Regional Science Expo in Ladysmith on July 27.

The judges were impressed by the learner presentations and research and awarded them with prizes. From ML Sultan Estcourt Primary School, in grade five, Ayabonga Thwala and Olwenkosi Duma received the Silver Award for the topic “Are teenagers lazy or just tired?”

In grade six, Andiswa Mnguni and Alwande Mkhize received Bronze award for their topic, The Greenland Conservation”.

In grade seven, Abenathi Nkabinde received a certificate for her project “Scientific inventions are dangerous to mankind”. Melissa Robi and Nokwanda Shabalala impressed the judges with their project “Teenage pregnancy”.

Learners received gold as well as highly recommended. They also received blue bags and a special award for working special hours. Heartfelt gratitude to the educators of ML Sultan who worked tirelessly to prepare learners for the Science Expo.
