Riverdale Primary School learners checkmate in Richards Bay

The all-female team enjoyed the challenge and the outin

Riverdale Primary School’s chess team celebrated Women’s Day, sharpening their strategies in a chess tournament hosted by the Umlathuze Municipality Chess Association.

The tournament was held at the Board Walk Inkwazi Shopping Centre.

The all-female team enjoyed the challenge and the outing.

A grade six learner from Esigodlweni in Riverdale Primary School, Owami Malinga won third position.

The chess association awarded special prizes for the best players and most creative dresser.
