Dannhauser to come alive on Spring Day

Mr Hoosen said his aim is to create awareness of the capabilities and available services in Dannhauser and neighbouring towns.

Dannhauser will come alive on September 1, as Spring is brought in with a bang thanks to Anwar Hoosen.

The community organiser will once again bring life to the small town with his Spring Day Upliftment Programme.

There will be a parade through town, a 5km fun walk, karate, aerobics displays as well as spinning. For the sports lovers, there will be a 5-a-side soccer tournament, pool, table tennis, chess and arm wrestling.

There will also be a colour festival, a cake competition, tea garden, face painting, jumping castles, a variety of foods and plenty of stalls.

Mr Hoosen said that he wanted to bring some vibrancy to the town as most people complained that ‘Dannhauser is boring and nothing ever happens there.’ He said his aim is to create awareness of the capabilities and available services in Dannhauser and neighbouring towns.”

The Spring Day event will begin at 8am until late in the Main Road, next to Bafana.
