DHS has started various projects to raise awareness and develop a sense of unity within the community.
One of the recent ventures has been to visit Dundee Hospital as part of their interact club.
The learners are working closely with the Rotary Club who understands how important it is to engender a sense of love and care for our neighbour. Not only does it help the community, it also produces a strong youth with a beautiful value system based on empathy and kindness. The project involved collecting teddy bears and handing them out to children in our local Dundee Hospital. Learners described it as an eye-opener and the smiles on the children’s faces encouraged them to do even more!
Thanks to all the members involved in making this possible and the enthusiastic learners who realise that there is so much to gain by giving!
