Hamilton learners do some planting for Arbour Week

There will be raised veggie beds, a worm farm and a compost bin

The first week of September is Arbour Week and Hamilton Preparatory marked the occasion by planting a lemon tree as part of the new mini “farm” they are developing.

There will be raised veggie beds, a worm farm and a compost bin.

Each class will have their own bed and they will learn all about growing vegetables and enjoy tasting the results.

This Arbour Month is being used to prepare the beds, ready for planting in the new term, hopefully in time for the rains.
