Mystery surrounds murder of local attorney

Another murder reported to add to the country's horrific crime stats

Mystery surrounds the murder this morning of a Dundee attorney whose body was found in his car on the Sunset Rest road.

The man, who has not been named by police, was found shortly after 8am near the rail bridge near Kempton Farm. The man had been shot three times and was found in the front seat of his Toyota, still wearing his seatbelt. The keys were still in the ignition.

Several cartridges were found on the scene. There were files on the backseat of his car.

Police believe the man had been asked to meet someone in the area and was then ambushed and shot dead.

The road was closed for some time while detectives and forensic experts combed in the area for clues.

Ironically, the murder occurred on the same day that about 100 bikers gathered at the Dundee Police Station to pray for the Lord’s protection over the police and for the country, following the release of the horrific crime stats last week.
