The information session further intended to recruit males to assist the government in their fight against gender-based violence within communities

The KwaZulu Natal Local Government Communicators Forum (LGCF) led by Government Communication and Information System (GCIS), Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA) and South African Local Government Association (SALGA) say no to gender-based violence against women and children.

A peaceful demonstration on gender-based violence was held in Bergville recently.

To mark this, a joint peaceful march through the Bergville Taxi Rank was held on September 6. This was the first of its kind; the aim was to create awareness around the end of women abuse and gender-based violence.
