Nontuthuko Tarr from Eskom, conducted an interactive session with the learners at ML Sultan Estcourt Primary School on September 19.

She advised learners about the danger of exposed and broken wires as well as how to prevent injuries. Learners were shown illustrations of electrical appliances that use water e.g. the kettle and iron.

Learners were also warned about the danger of cables and that these must be reported to Eskom on 0860 037 566.

During a thunderstorm, all appliances must be switched off as it may catch on fire. Nontuthuko was thanked for sharing safety tips with the learners.
