Honouring advances in agricultural studies in the Uthukela District

Mr Macu from Dr Joseph Shabalala Secondary appreciated learners for choosing the subject as "there is no life without agriculture"

With minimum funds and gifts on hand, the agricultural sciences educators and learners in Uthukela District held a successful second and final round of Agricultural Sciences Olympiad a week before the commencement of grade 12 examinations.

In this round, the participants from grades 10 and 11 scored top ten positions in the previous rounds held earlier on in their circuits.

Grade 10 top ten learners backed up by their educators.

For grade 10, first place fell into the hands of Mazibuko Musawenkosi from Amangwane. Ingula High learners Nkosi Zandisiwe and Hlatshwayo Lerato took second and third places respectively.

Grade 11 first three positions were taken by Sibaya Fisokuhle of Mqedandaba, Xaba Ntokozo from Intandoyesizwe and representing Estcourt in third position was Shezi Seluleko of Emthonjeniwolwazi.
