Missing girl: tragic end to search

Man is soon expected in Court

There has been a tragic end to the search for the missing eight-year-old girl. The remains of Celimpilo Nosbusiso Sibiya were found in two pit toilets at Driefontien, between Elandslaagte and Ladysmith yesterday.

A 36-year-old man who was questioned by police directed police officers to the pit toilets. He is facing a charge of murder and is expected to appear in the Ladysmith Magistrates Court soon.

Police worked around the clock to find Celimpilo after her family went to the Elandslaagte police station to report her missing. She was last seen on November 6 at 6pm at Baldaskraal in Driefontein. She was wearing a red jacket as a well as red and grey dress. She frequently visits homesteads at KwaMchunu and KwaMabaso in Baldaskraal.
