Excellence honoured at Dannhauser Secondary

Dannhauser Secondary continues to impress with the achievements

Dannhauser Secondary School honoured their top achievers at a glitzy awards evening.

Principal, Bradley McDonald, praised the teachers who he said were the driving force behind the many successes at the school in 2018. He added that the learners’ achievements were a testament that hard work does indeed pay off. Guest Speaker, Mrs Mgomezulu, the Acting Chief Education Specialist also had high praise for the school and its leadership.

And the Dux winner is…Andile Thabethe.

“We are very proud of you as a circuit and as the district because when the school does well, the district does well,” she said. She added that the teacher’s commitment amazed her, highlighting that teachers used to start extra lessons for matriculants on Saturdays at 6am.

Njabulo Mthembu won the Good Fellowship award.

“It takes a nation to raise a child and that’s exactly what you do. “There’s value for money at Dannhauser Secondary. “You never rest on your laurels.”
With a dedicated staff and leadership steering the ship, Dannhauser is definitely on the right track to many more treasured achievements.

Mr Naicker feels he should have won the award for best dressed teacher.
