Dundee Secondary School’s Class of 2018 improved markedly on the 2017 matric results. The pass rate was just over 60% – well up on the 51% of 2017.
Principal Thulani Mahaye said he was pleased with the Maths and Science results too. Seventy-four percent of DunSec students passed maths whille the pass rate in physical science was 81% and 85% for accounting.
“Maths and Science have always been very challenging subjects and I am glad that the hard work put in by the teachers and pupils has paid off,” Mr Mahaye said.
He said he and staff are still busy checking the results and will soon give details of the schools’ top students. News is still awaited of Thalana High, EtangeniS School results and the results from other schools in the area. These will be published when these become available.
