Drakensberg Boys Choir School welcomes 27 new boys for 2019

The new recruits will go through 30 in-depth and challenging tests,

Drakensberg Boys Choir School recently welcomed 27 grade four to eight new boys.

The boys settled into their boarding hostels, embarked upon orientation both on the school campus and off-campus, in the form of a tour and swims/hiking in the nearby surrounds.

The boys also met their grade nine mentors, tutors and academic and music staff for the year; and performed three items at an assembly for the parents.

The weekend culminated in a braai for the new families.  The new recruits will go through 30 in-depth and challenging tests, in order to achieve concert status, and then will perform in the weekly Wednesday concerts, as well as other performances.
