Let the fun begin at St Gregory Primary extra murals

The learners were split into groups and ventured off to collect twigs and other goodies to make their own fires,

With the excitement bubbling amongst the learners that joined the first extra mural session on January 14, Mrs Wortmann explained fire safety and the different methods to make a fire, even without the use of matches.

The learners were split into groups and ventured off to collect twigs and other goodies to make their own fires, working as a team each group successfully made their fire.

After collecting twigs for the fire, it was time to get started.

With the fires crackling Mrs Wortmann brought out a surprise camping kettle to boil water to make hot chocolate, which was really warm and enjoyed by everyone.
