Watch: Annual Watermelon Feast at LHS

Learners had the opportunity to smear each other with watermelon and have loads of fun

The annual Watermelon Feast held by Ladysmith High School (LHS) took place on the school’s sports grounds on Friday morning, January 18.

Learners had the opportunity to smear each other with watermelon and have loads of fun.

The prefects, with the help of their teachers, cut the watermelon into pieces while the rest of the school waited patiently for the action to begin.

The learners who didn’t want to get “dirty” were allowed to just sit at the side of the field, eat their delicious watermelon and look on in amusement as their friends chased each other around with the sole objective of making everyone sticky!

It was excitement galore and even the teachers who watched over the learners were seen having a ball of a time.
