Top matriculants recognised in Ladysmith

The Top Achieving Matriculant Award went to Andiswa Fortunate Gwala from Ladysmith High School

Alfred Duma Local Municipality presented awards to the 50 top-achieving matriculants within the municipality on Thursday morning (January 24).

The annual event took place at the Town Hall, where the ‘Class of 2018’ gathered with family and teachers to be awarded certificates and tokens for the high marks they obtained in their final matric examinations.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Mayor Thuli Hadebe congratulated the matriculants on their achievements.

Messages of support were delivered by representatives from various organisations.
