Yet another delay for justice for former Mayor Mbatha

Advocate Kay Augustine informed the court that she would now be representing all three of the accused

With the hope of having their pre-trial heard at the Estcourt Magistrate’s Court yesterday, yet another postponement was announced to the three men accused with conspiracy to commit murder.

Former Endumeni  Mayor, Richard Mbatha, Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) Councillor Mthembeni Majola and alleged hit man, Xolani Makhathini made a short appearance in the Estcourt Regional Court this morning.

Advocate Kay Augustine informed the court that she would be representing all three of the accused.

The men were charged with conspiracy to commit murder following an arrest made by the Hawks on allegations of a murder plot against former Endumeni Council Speaker and fellow IFP member, Bongiwe Mbatha,  during last year May. The case will resume on April 4 for the pre-trial.
