Motorists can look forward to road repair in Estcourt and surrounding areas

The Transport Department teams can be seen busy at work on some routes

It is definitely a relief to motorists that some potholes in and around Estcourt are being repaired.

This is a task handled by the Transport Department and started last year.

The Transport Department has undertaken road repairs in areas like Lorne Street, Hellet Road and Ntabamhlophe Road close to Wagendrift Dam.

The road surfaces are being dug up and resurfaced. These road rehabilitation projects will be fanned out across the municipal district in areas like Estcourt central business district, Frere, Winterton, Draycott, Wembezi, Ntabamhlophe, Loskop and the road heading towards Mooi River.

Last year Department of Transport Area Office Manager, Robert Ndlela emphasised that the aim of the road rehabilitation is to improve the hazardous road conditions in these areas.
