Patient airlifted from hospital in Ladysmith

The chopper landed on the Ladysmith High School sports field

A High Care (ICU) patient was airlifted from a hospital in Ladysmith on Wednesday afternoon (March 6).

The patient was transferred to a hospital in Pietermaritzburg.

Ambulance services from Ladysmith assisted Netcare 911 medical staff, who took the man by chopper.

The helicopter landed on the Ladysmith High School (LHS) sports field, which was quite a sight for many schoolchildren who were busy with sports practice.

The chopper flew off while many young eyes watched the skies from the field.
