Welcome rain continues to slowly fill up dams in the Ladysmith area, which brings relief to farmers and members of the community.
On the downside, heavy thunderstorms and hail have wreaked havoc in Ladysmith, Estcourt and Newcastle.
Many people have commented that the rain is wonderful, but they hope there is no more destruction at the hands of devastating electrical storms.

Here are the latest recorded dam levels for the area:
Spioenkop Dam is on a fantastic 95%, with Driel Barrage Dam on 90.3%.
Woodstock Dam is sitting on 92.5% and Sterkfontein Dam on 93.8%.
The lowest dam in KZN is still Albert Falls, which is 39.1%.
