BREAKING: Little Lwandile has been found dead

Her lifeless body was found in a stream close to the location where she was last seen.

The search for two-year-old Lwandile Ntombela has ended in tragedy.

Her lifeless body was found in a stream close to the location where she was last seen.

Commander of the FCS (Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences) Unit, Captain Nagesh Moothilal confirmed the incident.

“The baby girl was found at around 6.30pm,” said an emotional Capt Moothilal.

Lwandile went missing on April 21 and was last seen at Mkhwanazi Stand, Blaauwbosch.

“It is believed the child may have wandered too close to the stream and fell in.”

However, the exact cause of death will be established once police conclude its investigations.

The Newcastle Advertiser extends its condolences to the family of little Lwandile Ntombela. Rest in peace.
