Upper Victoria Street partially closed due to roadworks

Motorists should detour to McKenzie or Tatham Streets, to access the Berea and/or Strathmore Park areas.

Motorists are urged to travel with caution when using Victoria Street in the vicinity of the railway bridge and Karel Landman Street’s traffic circle.

Another section of the badly rutted road is currently being repaired. The road is now currently reduced to one land and traffic signallers have been deployed. Motorists should detour to McKenzie or Tatham Streets, to access the Berea and/or Strathmore Park areas.

The Department of Transport has contracted out the work to repair this section of road, which is part of its ongoing programme to improve the road network within the area.
