Driver trapped after truck overturns in Madadeni
Newcastle Community Safety, SAPS, traffic officials and paramedics are currently at the scene.
A truck overturned on the Madadeni turnoff earlier today, trapping the driver in the wreckage. Newcastle Advertiser reporter, Estella Naicker, is currently at the scene.
She explains the driver was trapped for almost an hour and a half, but has since been extricated from the truck cab. A passenger from the vehicle was earlier transported to a nearby hospital, for treatment of minor injuries.
“The driver is seriously hurt, but in a stable condition,” adds Naicker.
