Various stakeholders gathered at the Wembezi Sports Stadium where the day was centred on the youth. The day began with a march from the Wembezi police station to the stadium, which piqued the interest of many residents and prompted their attendance.

One of the main subjects discussed on the day was drug awareness and various speakers emphasised the negative effects of substance abuse.

“The focus was on the youth. They attended as well as participated in the event. Several youth entertainment groups performed, much to the delight of the audience,” said police spokesperson Captain Bongani Nyathi.

In addition, the SAPS Dance Band kept the audience well-entertained.
