Get your team ready for the Wheelchair Challenge

The event will give able-bodied people a chance to feel what life is like in a wheelchair

Able-bodied people will get a taste of what life is like in a wheelchair when the Association of the Physically Disabled host their unique wheelchair race tomorrow evening, Thursday, at the Bowling Club.

Not only is the event a fundraiser but it is a way of raising awareness of the challenges faced by the disabled every day in a somewhat wheel-chair unfriendly environment.

Registration starts at 4.30pm and racing at 5pm. A donation of  R200 per team of a maximum of four persons would be appreciated.

Wheelchairs will be provided and refreshments and bar will be on sale for participants and spectators.

For further information contact Irene Lundin on 082 879 1203 or Bev Garner on 083 233 1777 or any APC member.
