VIDEO: Life not an easy race in a wheelchair

It was a fun event with a meaningful message - more should be done to ensure those who are wheelchair bound have access to facilities

The Wheelchair Race, organised by the Association of the Physically Disabled, gave able-bodied participants a taste of what life is really like in a wheelchair.

Although this was a fun event, the message was clear:  the environment is not all that friendly to those with  physical handicaps and more should be done to ensure that those are wheelchair bound also have access to public facilities.

Teams from schools, companies and clubs all supported the fundraiser at the Bowls Club.
