Dundee July parade revs up for the big event

Sibongile residents welcome the colourful parade...

The traditional pre-Dundee July Parade took place in Sibongile this afternoon with horses, bikers, suped-up cars, traditionally women and men, stilt-walkers and pantsula dancers making up what was a colourful spectacle.

The parade ended in Freedom Park where Mayor Mdluli addressed the crowd amid a noisy blast of bikers revving their engines much to the delight of those who packed into the park area.
