Sevens rugby hero motivates Sarel sports and cultur stars

He encouraged learners to 'appreciate the little things in life'.

Former South African Rugby Sevens player, Frankie Horne was the guest speaker at last night’s Sarel Cilliers High School sport and culture prize-giving.

Frankie, who is now into sports management with the aim of developing girls and boys on the sports field, encouraged all learners to appreciate the ‘the little things in life’.

“Every certificate handed out there is significant, because the person who did not receive one wishes he did. Do not complain about walking to school. There are those out there who wish they could walk.”

Frankie, known on the field as Frank the Tank, spent the last two days coaching the Sarel Rugby Sevens team ahead of the Sevens Tournament in Vryheid this weekend.

After the formalities concluded, the enthusiastic Sarel learners celebrated the winners as only they can.
