Protesters block R33 at Stratford farm
SAPS are on the scene and are currently waiting for back up
Burning tyres and other obstacles are blocking the R33 in the Stratford area and motorists are urged to avoid the area.
SAPS said a group of protesters are gathered at the scene. The Public Order Policing Unit, POP, are said to be on their way to assist in clearing the road.
It is not clear at this stage what the protest involves. There have been several incidents of protesters blocking roads over the past week with similar incidents on the Elandslaagte/Wasbank road and in the Vryheid.
Yesterday the R33 near Tugela Ferry was closed due to protest action.
