Police seize goods allegedly stolen from lodges

The suspects were not found, but their identities have been confirmed by police

A recent joint operation led by Weenen police led to stolen goods being seized.

The aim of the operation was to arrest known wanted suspects who were involved in housebreaking cases that occurred at two lodges in the area.

Police officers swooped on homesteads in the Nhlawe and KwaMajola areas, where they recovered three cell-phones, two wristwatches, a jacket, SANDF uniform, pellet gun, .38 Special revolver and ammunition. All the recovered items were allegedly stolen from the two lodges that were broken into.

The suspects were not found on the premises that were searched, but police say their identities have been confirmed. Detectives are confident that they will be arrested soon and have repeated their call for communities to refrain from buying stolen goods.
