Riverdale Girl Guide Unit host informative assembly

Girl Guides get to work spreading awareness in Dyslexia Awareness Month,

During assembly at Riverdale Primary School last week Friday, the Girl Guide Unit got to share their extensive research with fellow scholars.

The girls researched dyslexia and climate change, each sharing what they have learned, as well as the causes, disadvantages and possible solutions.

As October is Dyslexia Awareness Month, they spread awareness among their school mates and teachers, who listened attentively.

They did this with flash cards, posters and speeches. The Girl Guides are also members of Youth at SAIIA Delegates and Unyaka Wakho Youth Foundation for Change.

Mrs Gamede said that the learners going to high school will be sorely missed for their involvement and hard work in programmes like this.
