Coronation Park revelers leave their mark
The till rolls spread over the trees were white... and not green and gold...

The notorious Coronation Park on McKenzie Street is again this morning heavily littered. This time revellers, who spent the weekend drinking and partying the park, appeared to have got hold of till rolls and spread these around the trees.
“Maybe it was a World Cup celebration but then surely the till rolls would have been green and gold and certainly not white,” quipped one resident who declined to be named.
Others in the area said a party continued well after sunset on Sunday with people openly drinking in public. One resident said they no longer bother ‘to call the SAPS as they in any case never come out and do not police the by-laws’.
Some residents asked when the municipality will fence off the park as promised. Earlier, Mayor Mdluli indicated funds had been budgeted for to fence off Coronation Park and McPhail Park which is also infamous for anti-social activities.
