SAPS and members of the Endumeni Traffic Department are out in force as Black Friday shopping fever grips the area.

Supermarkets like Charlies Superspar and Shoprite opened their doors extra early and early birds eagerly snapped up the specials.

The Boulevard Centre parking lot is packed,  with clothing stores and Pick n Pay brimming to capacity with those eager to cash in on specials.

In Pick n Pay, shoppers were keen to snap up specials on long life milk, cleaning products and shampoo. Cut-price biscuits were also loaded in to trolleys.

One shopper quipped his only regret was that petrol stations did not support Black Friday.

SAPS and Traffic officials closely monitored ‘hot spots’ and patrolling the Boulevard Centre, the taxi rank and other areas. A brief shower of rain cooled fraying tempers.

Apart from one bumper bashing on Gladstone Street but traffic officers said ”everything was gone fine”.
