R34 claims another crash

Transport MEC Ntuli is expected to visit the crash site.

There has been another serious crash on the R34 between Dundee and Vryheid.

“Two vehicles have been involved in a crash. Nine patients have been treated by paramedics at the scene,” confirmed KZN EMRS spokesman, Robert McKenzie.

The accident occurred at the same location where a horrific accident on Sunday claimed 10 lives. Witnesses have been blamed the accidents on a huge pothole which contractors have been unable to permanently repair.

“The hole is big… if you swerve you hit oncoming traffic, if you go through it, your vehicle goes out of control.” said one motorist who travels daily from Dundee to Vryheid.

Transport, Community Safety and Liaison MEC Bhekuyise Ntuli is this afternoon expected to visit the crash site.
