Heavy thunderstorms over large portions of the KZN Midlands and Northern KZN are expected this afternoon (January 6). Inclement weather conditions, including heavy downpours, have been reported in parts of KZN such as PMB and Harry Gwala District Municipality.

The storm, accompanied by strong winds, is moving in an easterly direction.

A hail warning has also been issued.

It is expected to hit uThukela District Municipality as well, with severe storms on the cards for Estcourt, Ladysmith and Bergville, says the SA Weather Service.
