Households battered by violent storm

Over 100 households were affected by storm over the past weekend.

Vryheid was hit by more fierce weather over the weekend. Storm conditions wreaked havoc on more than 100 households.

Shortly after news broke, acting Municipal Manager, Sabatha Shongwe, acting Mayor, Mncedisi Maphisa and AbaQulusi councillors stepped in to assist affected families in Wards 14 and 15 with temporary relief. This included food parcels and blankets for those in dire need.
